SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS & GUIDELINES

AFTER-CARE IS VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

PLEASE NOTE: For the first 3-6 days your tattoo will appear
significantly darker, larger, and sharper than what is expected for the final result. Your fresh tattoo can become infected if after-care hygiene is not strictly followed.

To keep shape and colour consistent it’s recommended to have a Perfecting Touch-Up Session scheduled 8 weeks from your first appointment. As your Tattoo fades with time after healing, you can schedule a Maintenance Session to replenish the colour and shape
of the tattoo.

AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Swelling is normal in the first couple days following your treatment

  • 2 hours after your treatment: Using CLEAN fingertips, gently cleanse treated area with mild soap and warm water. Then use a Q-Tip to apply BEPANTHEN Ointment on the tattoo; do not re-use Q-tips to avoid contaminating your ointment.

  • Continue to cleanse with warm water in the morning and evening, removing any lymph fluid buildup on the tattoo, following with a fresh layer of Bepanthen Ointment.

  • Keep the area moist with ointment, applying morning and evening. Gently reapply ointment when you feel tender, itchy or dry for the 10-14 days following your procedure. Always wash your hands thoroughly prior to handling.

  • Avoid facial cleansers, and make-up on the tattooed area for 10-14 days. Wash around the area and pat dry with a clean towel.

  • Before showering, apply ointment on your tattoo. Do not directly shower the treated area.

  • LIP BLUSH CLIENTS: avoid spicy foods, hot liquids and kissing for at least 7 days

  • Avoid applying exfoliates or AHA/Glycolic Acid products to the tattooed area for at least two weeks.

  • Tattoo pigment colour goes through phases and may appear significantly lighter after the first 2 weeks, but within 3-6 weeks more colour will appear as the deeper skin layers heal.

  • 2 weeks after the procedure, begin an AM/PM regimen. Use an unscented, water-based moisturizer that is free of anti-aging or anti-acne ingredients (Lubriderm or Cetaphil). Apply a 30 SPF sunscreen to the treated area to protect against premature fading.
